‘Hold The Line’: Doing Things Media’s Newest Multi-Platform Brand
Last month, with the global spotlight on the r/WallStreetBets movement, our team at Doing Things Media decided to create content centered around this cultural conversation. DTM’s Co-Founder / CEO Reid Hailey (creator of Shitheadsteve + TrashcanPaul) has been trading stocks and crypto for almost 10 years and saw this as an opportunity to post trade ideas as well as build a brand centered around fin-meme culture.
Once our team identified themes of the r/WallStreetBets trend, we then developed a growth strategy, and our entire creative team sprung into action to create content that was relatable and reflective of the real-time conversation going on throughout the world.
Within 24 hours of launch, the Hold The Line account on Instagram amassed over 30K+ followers. Over the next several days, our team continued to ideate, create, and publish content in response to this real-time trend. Simultaneously, we cross promoted Hold The Line content through the Doing Things Media network of brands that collectively reaches 60M+ followers across social media.
Within a 5 day span, the Hold The Line account on Instagram grew to 110K+ followers! During this same period, our e-commerce team created a digital store, and through our content, we promoted merchandise in response to this real-time global cultural trend.
